John O’Connor started his career as an associate of an AmLaw 100 firm in their structured finance department. His practice was focused on a wide variety of real estate finance transactions such as commercial mortgage loan originations and assumptions. Prior to forming the O’Connor Law Firm, Mr. O’Connor was an associate in the real estate finance and development practice group of another large firm where he represented real estate development companies in connection with land acquisitions and large scale multi-family development. Currently, Mr. O'Connor's practice focuses on large scale real estate litigation. 

In addition, Mr. O’Connor holds an L.L.M. in Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law. The Real Property Development program explores the subjects necessary to develop an understanding of land acquisition, development, finance and tax, among others. The comprehensive course of study focuses exclusively on the real estate industry and provides graduates with the necessary tools to effectively represent their clients in this constantly changing field.
