Charlotte Bankruptcy Attorney - John O'Connor
John O’Connor has experience practicing law in some of the country’s
most prestigious law firms. Mr. O’Connor started his career as an
associate of an AmLaw 100 firm in their structured finance department.
His practice was focused on a wide variety of real estate finance
transactions such as commercial mortgage loan originations and
assumptions. Prior to forming the O’Connor Law Firm, Mr. O’Connor was an
associate in the real estate finance and development practice group of
another large firm where he represented real estate development
companies in connection with land acquisitions and large scale
multi-family development.
In addition, Mr. O’Connor holds an L.L.M. in
Real Property Development from the University of Miami School of Law.
The Real Property Development program explores the subjects necessary to
develop an understanding of land acquisition, development, finance,
commercial leasing, title insurance and tax, among others. The
comprehensive course of study focuses exclusively on the real estate
industry and provides graduates with the necessary tools to effectively
represent their clients in this constantly changing field.

Ms. Watson has over 20 years experience handling virtually every aspect of the bankruptcy process, starting her bankruptcy career as a law clerk for the Honorable James B. Wolfe, Jr. where she enjoyed counseling consumers on credit rehabilitation. She has worked extensively on complex chapter 11 and chapter 7 cases across the southeast. In addition to her position with the O’Connor Law Firm, Ms. Watson is currently a professor of business law at Guilford College.
